Trustees.
A special meeting of the Trustees was held
at the usual place on _
There were present the President & Messrs
Cheever, Curtis, Little, Lawrence, Nazro & Tisdale.
The President stated that the meeting was called
at the request of the Treasurer on account of the
suggeston of some doubt as to his authority to accept & pay
certain drafts. _
Concerning authority of Treasurer to pay drafts, &c
The Treasr read from the bye-laws such portions as
related to his duty in connection with the Committee of
Finance, & proposed the adoption of an additional
bye-law authorizing the Treasr to pay all bills contracted
by any Committee duly authorized, presented for payment
with the approval of the Committee or a majority thereof.
& concerning Code of Bye-Laws _
Mr Nazro moved the appointment of a Comee
to prepare a code of bye-laws & that the votes proposed
by the Treasr be also referred to said Committee.
After some discussion, the motion was withdrawn _
the mover being informed that the Secretary was author-
ized by a vote of the Trustees in to compile all
standing rules & orders of the Corporation & Trustees, & would
soon report; and the Trustees being satisfied that no bye-
law was needed to meet the case on account of which
the meeting was called. _
