Petitn for small gate at N.W. corner of Mt. Auburn.
A petition was presented signed by Philip Hick-
born & twenty five others, that they might have leave to put
in a small gate, at the end of the stockade fence, near
the old elm, at the northwest corner of Mount Auburn,
& that the key might be placed in the hands of the station
agent of the Fitchburg Railroad, the privilege to be withdrawn
whenever any rule of the Corporation shall be violated. - -
Inexpedient to grant same. _
And it was unanimously
Voted that it is inexpedient to
grant the requst of the petitioners. -
The meeting was then dissolved.

The regular meeting of the Trustees was held on

These were present, the President, & Messrs Bangs, Cheever,
Curtis, Little, McKean, & Nazro. _
The record of the last meeting was read. _
Voted that, in consequence of the delay which has oc-
curred on the part of the contractors for the rebuilding
of the Chapel, the Trustees will employ some other party
to complete the work at the expense of the present con-
tractors, unless they shall immediately proceed with &
finish it without delay. -
Voted that the Secretary send a copy of the foregoing
vote to Messrs Whicher & Sheldon, Contractors. -
