and 3d that the Board would consider the expediency of of [sic]
selling lots for tombs in certain locations &c: _

Stated that the first & second items of inquiry were within
the province of the Committee upon Lots, & he would
submit no recommendation thereupon. _ In relation to
the third item, he proposed the following vote, which
was passed. __

Tomb lots _

Voted that the Committee on Grounds,
consider the expediency of making sale of lots in the sides
of the hills in the Cemetery, for the construction of tombs,
& report to the Board. _

Receiving Tomb.

The Receiving Tombs having been reported to be in bad
condition,

Voted that the Committee on Grounds be instruc-
ted to cause the Receiving Tombs to be so altered as to prevent
the escape of effluvia from them. _

Lot 232 Representative design? _

In accordance with the request of the heirs at law
of William A. Brown, late proprietor of lot numbered
23
2 in the Cemetery of Mount Auburn, Wm A Harris,
of Boston, was designated to represent said lot & vote at
meetings of the Corporation, until the further order of this
Board. _

The meeting was then dissolved. _
