Upon motion of Mr Read _
Supt to visit other Cemeteries
Voted that the Superintendent be authorized to
visit. New York, Philadelphia & Baltimore for the
purpose of acquiring information useful to the Cemetery.
Amendt to By-Laws proposed _
The following amendments & additions to the By-
Laws were proposed, which under the rule lie over
until the adjourned meeting. _
By Mr Curtis.
That the last Article in "Alterations of By-
Laws" shall be amended so as to read _
"That no alteration nor addition shall be made
to any of the By-Laws unless the proposed alteration or
addition ^shall have been submitted to the Trustees at a meeting
at least seven days previous to the meeting at which
it is to be acted upon". _
The following to be added to the By-Laws _
"That no vote of the Trustees shall be valid (except
a vote to adjourn to a day certain, or without day,)
unless the same be adopted at a stated meeting, or
at a special meeting duly called, by not less than
five members of the Board _ which fact shall
be recorded by the Secretary." _
The following by Mr Read
"That no Trustee shall receive any salary, contract,
or other emolument for servies rendered by him, while
holding the office of Trustee." ~
The meeting ws then adjourned as above ordered
