and on such terms as may be agreed on between the
parties; he shall also keep for sale at some convenient
place designated by the Trustees, shrubs, trees and
flowers, and be ready to furnish, plant or cultivate
the same, at his own expense, and for such price and
remuneration as may be agreed on with the purchasers.

That

Article 3d of the ByeLaws should be amended by
inserting the words "a Gardener" after the words "Super-
intendent's Clerk". _

Gardener _

The Committee further recommends that a Gar-
dener shall be appointed by this board for the remain-
der of the present year, as soon as a suitable person
can be determined on, and that the piece of ground
west of the Superintendent's house be leased to him
per annum, on such terms and for such time
as the Committee on Grounds may determine." _

Upon Motion of Mr Read,

Voted that the report be adopted so far as
can be done antecedently to the passage of the proposed
bye law, and so far as may be necessary to authorize the
Committee on Grounds to initiate the proper steps to such
an appointment and arrangement of duties, and that they
be hereby authorized with full power when said bye
law shall have been adopted to carry its provisions
into effect. _

Position of Gardener: Gardener may contract with proprietors to maintain their lots at a cost agreed to between them; he shall keep a supply of shrubs, flowers and trees at his own expense to sell to proprietors; and that land west of the Superintendent's house be leased to the Gardener for his plants, etc.
