A. Apple chosen Gardener _

leased to him, to help plants &c, and to perform such
services as may be required of a gardener in the Cem-
etery during the present official year. _

It was then

Voted that the report be accepted, and that
Mr Anthony Apple be hereby engaged as Gardener
until the next annual organization. _

Committee chosen to accept the Statue of John Adams _

The President stated that he had received notice
from Mr Rogers of the shipment of the Statue of John
Adams
, and its arrival here was shortly expected.

Voted, that the President and Mr Gould be
appointed a Committee with power to examine and
accept the statue of John Adams, and have the
same transported to Mount Auburn, if found con-
formable to the contract. _

Fountain Path on

Voted that whereas the Trustees at a meeting in
, ordered a path to be laid out around
Meadow Pond by the name of Fountain Path,
(see Records Vol 1st pp. 283-4) and a path has since been
commenced upon the North-easterly side of said pond and
called Oxalis Path, _ a path commencing at or near
Oxalis Path be laid out along the South westerly side
of said pond, and that the name of Fountain Path be
restricted to the path so to be laid out. ~

Name to path between two branches of Elm Av.

Voted that the President be a Committee to examine
a short path between the two branches of Elm Avenue, and
give a name to the same. _
