Tax on Stone Farm _ refusal to pay.

Upon motion of Mr Curtis, the following
preamble and vote were adopted _

Whereas the town of Watertown has
demanded payment of taxes for the year
1859 upon that part of the Cemetery called
the Stone Farm, which was annexed to the
Cemetery proper by a vote of the Trustees
of which vote the said town
then had due notice.

Voted that the Secretary be directed again to
notify them that this Corporation denies any
liability for taxes upon said estate, and that
it will resist in a lawful way any such
claim.

The meeting was then adjourned.

At the hour appointed for the regular meeting
of the Trustees of Mount Auburn on ,, there were
present the President and Messrs Austin, Cheever
and Rand.

No Quorum

No quorum being present, the meeting was
adjourned to the next regular meeting.
