Adjourned meeting of the Trustees.

Tuesday April 9^th 1861, 10 o'clock a.m.

Present, the President, Messrs Andrews, Austin,
Cheever, Crocker, Curtis, Nazro, Rand,
Read and Sleeper.

The record of yesterday's proceedings
was read.

The following communication from
the Superintendent was read.

Communication of the Sup^t requesting time for Examining the books and accounts.

Boston April 9^th 1861.

To the Honorable Board of Trustees of
Mt Auburn Cemetery,

Gentlemen,

Certain charges having been
brought against me by the Committee
having in charge the investigation of
the Superintendent's accounts, viz:
1^st A deficiency or short credits in the
superintendents accounts. _
2^ondly That the Superintendent had received
commission or discount on certain
bills paid by him in behalf of the
Corporation, while the full amount of
bill was charged to the Corporation.

The latter charge I claim, has not
been sustained.

On the former I ask for further
time, that I may be enabled to make
such explanation as the importance
of the case demands, and that I
