The question then came up on the adop-
tion of the votes moved by the Committee
yesterday, pending which the Board adjourned.

Ordered that they be acted upon
one by one.

Motion to require further security of Supt. rejected.

Upon the first motion, "that Mr
Mann
be required to furnish forthwith
further security to the amount of one
thousand dollars" _ Mr Nazro demanded
the yeas and nays.

Mr Cheever excused from voting _

Mr Cheever asked to be excused from
voting _ which was granted.

Mr Read moved to lay the motion
on the table. Lost _ not receiving five votes.

The question then recurred on adopting
the main proposition, and it was lost _
Messrs Austin, Crocker, Nazro, and Sleeper
voting yea, and Messrs Andrews, Bigelow,
Curtis, Rand and Read voting nay.

The second motion then came up _ .
Mr Read moved an amendment by sub-
stituting the words - "instructed not to receive
or pay" in place of "prohibited from receiving
or paying" and another slight verbal alteration
to correspond to this, which was adopted.
Mr Rand moved further to amend by
adding at the end of the motion these words _
