Adj^d meeting _ July 13. 1861.

Adjourned meeting of the Trustees,
Saturday, July 13^th, 9½ A.M.

Present the President, Messrs Andrews,
Curtis, Nazro, Rand, Read and Tobey,
and subsequently Messrs Cheever and Crocker.

The record of the last meeting was read.

The resolves which were moved and
ordered to be printed, were read as printed.

Mr Nazro moved to take up the unfinished
business of the report, and submitted the
following resolution: _

Resolution to abolish the office of Gardener rejected _

"That, as Mr Spooner, the Gardener, has
resigned his position, and as that officer,
although appointed by the Trustees, is merely a
nominal employee of the Corporation, and not
accountable to the Trustees, except for any viola-
tion of the rules of the Cemetery, the office
of Gardener be hereby abolished." _

and moved the adoption of it which was
put, and rejected.

Mr Nazro also submitted the following resolu-
tion: _

"It being necessary that a suitable room be pro-
vided for the transaction of the business of the
office, where the books and accounts can
