$1000 appropriated for Lake on site of "Garden Pond", so called _

On motion of Mr Austin,

Voted that the Committee on Grounds
be authorized to expend a sum not exceeding
one thousand dollars towards making and
stoning up a lake in the place now called
"Garden Pond" on the map of Mount Auburn.

Laid on table motion for appropriation for steps from the Tower down the hill, northward.

The chairman of the Comee on Grounds submitted
the following for adoption, which on motion of
Mr Cheever, was laid on the table to the
next meeting: _

"That, until otherwise ordered, the
Committee on Grounds be authorized to expend
one thousand dollars annually, in constructing
a flight of stone steps from the northerly part
of Mountain Avenue, near the Tower, down
the hill towards Consecration Dell; _ the
Committee to report annually." _

Represents designation for Lot 197

Upon the petition of Thomas G. Appleton, of Cambridge,
eldest son, and surviving Executor of Nathan Apple-
ton
, deceased, late proprietor of lot numbered 197,
he was designated to represent said lot. _

Lot 3126

Upon the petition of William Dorey, of Boston, guar-
dian of the children of James H. Guppy, late proprietor
of lot numbered 3126, deceased, supported also by the
request of the widow, he was designated to represent
said lot. _
