The record of the last meeting was read. ~
Tomb Front on Rosebay Ave
The President, as chairman of the Committee
on Grounds, stated that the question relating to the Corpor-
ation tomb, on Rosebay Avenue, was in July referred
to this meeting _
That the tomb front had been taken down,
hammered over, and set up again _ that the work
was put up in a substantial manner by the contractors _
the Granite Railway Company, and appeared well, ex-
cepting the bad stains which had reappeared in
places, and still rendered the structure objection-
able.
Question of acceptanc referred to Comee on Grounds with full power.
The other members of the Committee present
expressed their dissatisfaction with its appearance.
And upon motion by Mr Andrews, it was
Voted to refer the question of the tomb front on
Rosebay Avenue to the Committee on Grounds, with
full power to settle with the contractors on such
terms as they shall think expedient.
Report of Comee on Lots respecting lots cared for by the Corpn
Mr Andrews for the Committee on Lots
Reported that the Committee had visited Mount
Auburn, and examined the lots cared for by the
Corporation under funds provided; that certain lots are
needing extra repairs, and, in two cases, curb or edge stones-
that, in both cases, the accumulation of funds will
warrant such expenditure.
