The following is a copy of the Release of
the surviving subscribers of the Story Statue Fund.

Release by the Subscribers of the Story Statue Fund of unexpended balance to the Corporation.

"Boston,

The undersigned subscribers to the Statue of
Joseph Story
, in the Chapel at Mount Auburn,
hereby release to the Proprietors of the Cemetery of
Mount Auburn all and any balance of money
which may have remained unexpended after the
completion and erection of the said statue _ on
the condition that the Trustees of said Corporation
shall devote and apply the said balance to
the preservation and perpetual repair of the burial
lot which contains the mortal remains of the
said Joseph Story, upon the same terms of trust
upon which the perpetual repair of all lots in
said Cemetery is or may be guarantied." _
