ber of trees, or of parts thereof, not exceeding one half
of the whole number of trees, for the purpose
of abating the detriment and inconvenience now
occasioned by said trees."

Amendt of Vote instructing Comee on suit of Granite Railway Co to settle _

Voted that the resolution adopted on the
, instructing the Committee on the suit
of the Granite Railway Company against this
Corporation to effect a settlement with said
Company on the best terms possible _ be so
far amended as to empower said Committee
to submit the matters in controversy to reference.

Com. to inquire & report respecting purchase of land west of Cem.y _

Voted that Messrs Little and Norcross be
authorized to inquire and report upon what terms
the lot of land westerly of and adjoining the Cemetery
now held by the Roman Catholic Bishop can be
purchased. _

Appropriation towards grading of Coolidge Ave.

Mr Cheever having made a statement to the
Board that the City of Cambridge contemplate the improve-
ment of the grade of Coolidge Avenue ~ it was

Voted that Messrs Cheever and Norcross
be a Committee to arrange with the City of Cambridge
for the payment of two hundred and fifty dollars
($250.00 by this Corporation _ when said grading shall
have been completed to the satisfaction of this Committee.
