Trustees _ Feby. 9, 1869

An adjourned meeting of the Trustees was held on Tuesday
February 9^th 1869 at 10 o'clock AM.

There were present the President, Mess^rs Adams, Bowditch
Cheever, Little, Lovejoy, Read and Sleeper.

The record of the last meeting was read.

Application of Secretary & Treasurer _ also Gatekeeper for increase of Salary _

The President stated that a communication had been
received from the Secretary and Treasurer, asking for increase
of his compensation for the last fiscal year: also for such
increase of salary for the present year as should appear just
and proper; _ and another communication from the Gatekeeper,
asking for an increase of his salary: and he suggested that
a special committee should be appointed to take the whole _
subject of salaries into consideration and report thereon at
the next meeting; and it was

Referred to Special Com^ee _

Voted. That a Committee of three be appointed to take the
subject of salaries into consideration, and report at
the next meeting.

Upon nomination by the chair, Mess^rs Norcross Bowditch
and D^r Bigelow were so appointed.

Upon request of the members of the Board, a statement
by the Secretary and Treasurer, relating to his salary,
was read.
