Trustees _

The regular meeting of the Trustees was held
on Tuesday at 10 o'clock AM.

There were present, the President, Messrs Adams
Bowditch, Cheever, Lovejoy Norcross and Read & Sleeper.

The record of the meetings of & was read.

Report of Committee on Salaries _ recommending grant to Treasr for last year of $500 _

Mr Norcross for the Committee on Salaries submitted
their report in writing, of which the following is a copy

The Committee to whom was referred the
communication of the Treasurer in regard to extra labor
in his department during the past year _
make the following Report

They find by examination and enquiry, that
in consequence of the unsatisfactory condition of the books &
accounts of the late Treasurer, when they came into the
possession of the present officer, an unexpected amount
of labor has been required, from both the Treasurer and
his assistant, in the adjustment of the accounts & collection
of the bills due the corporation. The amount collected from
the overdue bills has been quite large, and the books and
accounts are assuming a more satisfactory condition.
