ten per cent of the cost of such laying which is estimated
at $319.00; that subscriptions had been obtained from the
other abutters, amounting to $200 ~, leaving $119.~ to be
provided for in order to obtain the water, which can be
used to advantage at the greenhouse, for the water closets,
of the proposed new house, and for watering street around
the gate.

Treasr authorized to subscribe for Water _ & laying pipes _

Upon motion by Mr Rand, it was

Voted. That the Treasurer be authorised in behalf of this
Corporation, to subscribe to the Cambridge Water
Works
, a sum not exceeding one hunndred and
nineteen dollars for bringing the waterpipes to
Mount Auburn gate, & for use of water for the
Cemetery.

Comee of inquiry as to violation of By-law forbidding Officers fo Corpn to have interest in work or materials for Cemetery _

On motion of Mr Cheever; it was

Voted. That a Committee of three be appointed to examine
and report to this Board, whether there has been
any infringement by any officers of the Corora-
tion of the by-law which forbids the Superin-
tendent, Gate-Keeper or other paid servant of the
Corporation to have any interest whatever in
any work or materials furnished for the Cemetery."

Messrs Norcross, Austin & Cheever were
so appointed.
