Copy of Report of Committee relating to classification of Board of Trustees _

"The Committee appointed to consider and report in
what manner the provisions of the last Act of the Legis-
lature relating to this Corporation shall be carried
into effect" beg leave to report. _

That, in compliance with the third section of the
said act, it becomes the duty of the present board
of Trustees by lot or otherwise as they themselves may
determine to cause the twelve persons who at the time of
the passage of the said act constituted the Board of
Trustees to be divided into six classes of two each, of whom
the persons constituting the first class shall go out of
office on the day of the next annual meeting, and
the persons of the 2d, 3d, 4th, 5th, and 6th classes shall go out of
office, respectively on the day of each succeeding annual
election in the years 1871, 1872, 1873, 1874, and 1875: _
that by reason of the vacancy now in the Board by
the decease of Mr Chas. C. Little, the provisions of the
act will be best complied with by designating one Trustee
who shall go out of office on the day of the next annual
meeting, and by dividing the rest of the Trustees into five
classes of two each.

Your Committee therefore recommend
that, unless one Trustee desires to resign, the Trustee who
shall go out of office be determined by lot, after which
the persons who shall constitute the respective classes
be in like manner determined by lot.

They further recommend that the Trustees report
to the Proprietors at the annual meeting their doings
in this respect, and in what manner the division
