Voted, – that the above papers be referred to the Committee on
Finance.

"Hemmenway improvement". Unsold Lots on to be restricted.

[A report was received from the Committee on Lots to the
effect "that the best interests of Mount Auburn will be promoted
by restricting the unsold Lots upon the "Hemmenway improvement,"
(so called,) by requiring stone curbs substantially in accordance
with the surroundings," and recommending "that a Vote be passed
by the Trustees so instructing the Superintendent. And, it was

Voted, – that the above report be accepted, and that the Su-
perintendent
be instructed in accordance with the views and
recommendations in said report set forth.]

List of Neglected Lots.

A communication was received from the Superinten-
dent
under date of , accompanied by a List of 1175
Lots out of repair, in which he "reiterates the recommendations
contained in his communiction of , " (vid. p. 4. Supra) (Copy from pg. 4),
accompanying a similar, but shorter List; - viz: - that the Super-
intendent
be authorized to put himself in personal communication
with each of the parties whose Lots are out of repair, giving an
estimate of cost, and asking that the proprietor authorize him
to do the work." A form of Circular appended to the Communication.

On motion of Mr. Turner, it was

Voted, – that the suggestions of the Superintendent in regard to
putting himself into personal communication with the proprietors
of neglected Lots, are hereby approved, and that he is hereby au-
thorized and instructed to carry out the recommendations in
this respect by him submitted to the Trustees.
