Dr. Jacob Bigelow,

Dear Sir,

The undersigned, members of the
Board of Trustees of M^t Auburn, have received with deep
regret your communication to the President of the corporation
announcing your resignation of the office of Trustee.

Your name has been identified with the foundation
and successful development of the Institution, and we
are sure we express the wishes of every member of the
corporation in asking the withddrawal of this letter.

Believing that your resignation at any time would
be premature, we sincerely hope you will accede to this
request.
