Trustees.

Chant Lot. Report from President respecting purchase of.

The President having submitted and read to the
Board a communication in reference to the purchase of the
Chant lot, pursuant to instructions contained in the vote
adopted at the last meeting of the Board, it was

Voted, – that the Report of the President be ^accepted and spread upon
the record.

The Report is as follows:

To the Trustees of the Cemetery of Mount Auburn:

Gentlemen:

In accordance with a vote of
the Board passed , I have completed the
purchase from John Corcoran of the "Chant Lot," containing
about 2½ acres, at Eleven hundred ($1100.–) dollars,
per acre.

Said land was conveyed to the corporation by warranty
deed, dated , and the sum of Five hundred
($500.–) dollars was on the same day, paid on account; and
an agreement executed containing the collowing provisions: –

First. That in and after this date, (), said
proprietors are entitled to possession of the said premises
with the exception of the buildings now standing thereon,
and the land covered thereby.

Second. That said buildings are to be removed from said
land without expense to said proprietors on or before the .

Third. That whenever said removal shall have been completed
in a manner satisfactory to said proprietors, and complete
