[Ground near Central &c. Aves; work on] ordered done

Central, Garden, Yew and Fountain Avenues, reported that
they had received from the present Superintendent an estimate
of the cost of the work specified as requiring attention, and
had instructed him to cause the same to be done.

Percentage of saleable & unsaleable land; reported no action needed

The same Committee to whom was referred a commu-
nication from the late Superintendent respecting the
percentage of saleable and unsaleable lands in the Cemetery,
reported that no action is necessary at the present time and
recommended that the communication be placed on file.

Dr. Bigelow; communication from placed on file.

The same Committee to whom was referred a communi-
cation from Dr. Bigelow in reference to certain "constructions"
belonging to the Cemetery, reported that no action on the
same was necessary and that it be placed on file.

S. G. Deblois' Petition for placing certain steps; reported no action needed

The same Committee to whom was referred the Petition
of Stephen G. Deblois for the placing of stone steps in the
bank adjoining his Lot No 3808, reported that no further
action thereon was necessary, the petitioner having expressed
his satisfaction with the access, provided by the Committee, to
Lots on Coleus Path from Rose Path, as appears from a
letter of the late Superintendent, dated the

Voted, – that ^the above reports of the Committee on Grounds
be accepted.

Bounty system ordered to be discontinued

The President submitted a communication from the
Superintendent
in relation to the custom of keeping back
a portion of the pay of the men under the so called "Bounty
system", and stated that the subject had received the
consideration of the Committee on Grounds, and that the
Committee acting under authority given by the Board,
