of the Committee the course heretofore pursued of allowing
the gate=keeper to purchase and sell the "Guides" is a
proper one, and that no action is necessary on the part
of the Board, except to recommend to the Superintendent
to see that the gate=keeper keeps a supply of the "Guides"
on hand for those who desire them."

Treasr's statements for quarter Ending , Approved.

A Report was received from the same Committee
approving as correct the Statements of the Treasurer for
the quarter Ending , referred to them at the
last meeting.

Circular prop. test validity of tax on Bank shares. No action needed.

A Report was received from the same Committee
stating that no action was necessary in reference to the
circular proposing to test the validity of the tax assessed
on certain bank stocks received by the Board and referred
to this Committee.

Voted, – that the above Reports be accepted.

Monthly schedule of Bills referred to President.

A file of bills with accompanying schedule having been
submitted to the Board by the Treasurer, in compliance with
the By=Laws, and the schedule having been read by the
President
, on motion of Mr Turner it was

Voted, – that the said bills be referred to the President for
his approval, and payment by the Treasurer if found correct.

Supt.'s salary for to be paid.

On motion of the same gentleman it was

Voted, – that there be allowed and paid to the retiring
Superintendent
, whose official connection with the corporation,
as stated by the President, terminated on the , his
salary for the month of , in full.
