Oath of Secretary. .

Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Suffolk ss., .

Personally appeared Samuel Batchelder Jr., and made
oath that he would faithfully perform the duties appertaining
to the office of Secretary of the Proprietors of the Cemetery of
Mount Auburn.

Before me,

John T. Bradlee Justice of the Peace.

A monthly meeting of the Trustees was held
on Wednesday, , at Four o'clock P.M.

Present Messrs. J. T. Bradlee, Brewer, Browne,
Choate, Lawrence, Perkins and Spelman.

The record o the last meeting was read & approved.

Receiving Tomb. Comn from the Com. on Lots respecting.

A communication was received from the
Committee on Lots resporting progress made by them in
the matter of the new receiving Tomb, stating that they
were not yet prepared to name the amount desired as
an appropriation therefor, and desiring a renewal of the
notice given at the last meeting. Also requesting "that
" before the next monthly meeting the members of the
" Board not already familiar with the subject, will, by
" visiting the Cemetery or by personal interview with the
" Superintendent
, or in both these ways, acquaint themselves
" with all the circumstances of the case so that, at that time
" definitie action may be taken."

Voted, – that the report of the Committee be accepted
