And Messrs. Snow, Choate and Spelman were designated
by the chair to constitute said Committee.

Permits to perform work upon Lots: general subject; Disposition of

A recess of fifteen minutes having been
ordered, to afford the Committee an opportunity to
deliberate, – on the re-assembling of the Board the
following vote was submitted, and adopted: viz;

Voted, – that the Secretary be instructed to issue
necessary permits to any person who shall show authority
in writing from a proprietor or a representative, to
perform work upon his lot, under the usual restrictions;
such authority from a proprietor or representative being
taken as the written application required by the By-Laws.

Monthly schedule of Bills referred to President.

The usual monthly file of bills with accompanying
schedule having been submitted to the Board, it was

Voted, – that said bills be referred to the President for
his approval and payment by the Treasurer if found correct.

Decoration-day arrangements for ref. to President.

The subject of watering the streets near Mount
Auburn, and the arrangements for Decoration-day having
been brought forward, it was

Voted, – that all matters connected with the arrangements
for Decoration-day be referred to the President, with full
powers.

Watering streets. Com. on Grounds authorized to make arrangements for.

Voted, – that the Committee on Grounds be authorized to
make arrangements with the City of Cambridge for watering
the streets near the Cemetery
