A monthly meeting of the Trustees was
held on Wednesday, , at 4 o'clk. P.M.

Present Messrs. J. T. Bradlee, Brewer, Browne
Choate, Lawrence, Perkins, Pickering, Snow and
Spelman.

The record of the last meeting was read
and approved.

Cambridge taxes for 1874, Report of Special Com. accepted & approved.

A report was received from the President, as
chairman of the Special Committee appointed at
the last meeting to consider the subject of the taxes
assessed by the City of Cambridge for the current year;
recapitulating the facts in the case, stating the course
of action adopted, the opinion of counsel obtained,
and the final payment of the said tax-bill by the
authority of the Committee, an abatement of the sum
of twenty-two thousand dollars ($22,000.–) on the
assessed valuation having first been made by the
assessors. And it was

Voted, – that the report of the Committee be accepted ^and approved

Coolidge Av. proposed widening of Report of Com. on Grounds respecting.

A report was also made by the President as
chairman of the Committee on Grounds, in reference to
the widening of Coolidge Avenue authorized at the last
meeting of the Board, pursuant to a plan recommended
by the Committee; stating that the Committee were in
communication with the Committee on Highways of
the town of Watertown on the subject, but that no
decisive action had yet been taken by the authorities
