Cambridge tax-bill for 1875 Abatement reported by Spec. Com.
The President, in behalf of the special committee
to whom at the last meeting was referred the City of Cam-
-bridge tax bill for 1875, reported that the Committee had
obtained from the assessors an abatement of $73.10
from the amount of said bill, said abatement corres-
-ponding to an over-charge caused by an over-estimate
of the contents of the reception-house lot.

Intermediate space Sale of Lots Nos 4406; 4407; 4408 without resern of ratified
On motion of the chairman of the Committee
on Lots, it was

Voted, – that the Secretary be authorized to prepare
and deliver deeds of Lots numbered 4406; 4407 & 4408
on Eagle Avenue, contracted to be sold without interve-
-ning space, as shown on the Superintendent's report
of .

Permanent Fund. Preambles & vote resp'g. offered by Mr J. T. Bradlee
Mr J. T. Bradlee offered the preambles and
vote following; referred, on motion of Mr Choate, to the
Committee on Finance to consider and report.

Whereas, Article VII of the By-Laws provides that
when the Permanent Fund shall have amounted to Two
hundred thousand dollars, it shall be lawful for the
Trustees, if they see fit, to withdraw the income thereof,
and appropriate the same to the payment of the ne-
-cessary expenses of the Institution, – and

Whereas, the increased cost of keeping the Avenues
