Chapel, Improvements in Voted that the Committee on Grounds employ some suitable person to consider what improvements are necessary in the Chapel, at the cemetery and to make an estimate of the cost of the same; also

Water Supply. Voted. That the Committee on Grounds consider the subject of the Water Supply at the Cemetery, and report.

The monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees was held as notified on Wednesday. , at 2:30 o'clock P.M.

Present, the President, and Messrs Choate, Browne, Rice, Hodges, Wolcott, Sears, Eaton, Whitney, Clapp and Jones,

The records of the special meeting of , and of subsequent meetings were read and approved.

N. McDonald & Co. Petition refused The President stated, on behalf of the Committee on Lots, to whom was referred the matter of the Petition 252 of N. McDonald & Co., for leave to set Monuments &c. in Lots under perpetual care, that such permission had been refused and that the privilege formerly enjoyed by Alexander McDonald had been revoked.

Monthly Bills The President reported that he had examined and approved the Schedules of Monthly Bills:, $7,357.93; , $5,535.95; , $6,437.83; , $7,655.57; and that the same had been thereupon paid by the Treasurer.

The Schedule of , showing a total of $5,606.80, was presented, and it was

Old Office Release Voted that the Treasurer be authorized to execute and deliver a release to the City of Boston of all claim for damages costs, expenses and compensation on account of the taking by the said city of the building No. 16 Pemberton Square, in which the offices of the Corporation were then located; it appearing that the lease to the corporation provided that, in case of such a taking by the city, no damages should be claimed.

Water Supply Chapel The President stated, in behalf of the Committee on Grounds that they were not prepared to report in regard to the improvement of the Chapel or upon the subject of Water Supply for the Cemetery; but, for the information of the Board he submitted an offer 261 made by B. F. Smith for sinking driven wells. No action was taken thereon.
