Extract from Secretary's Trustees Records.
Mr. Browne from the Committee on Finance to whom the subject of the
unpaid bills of Proprietors was referred, presentedthe following report.
Your committee beg to report having considered the subject referred to
them and that they find the loss to the corporation very considerable
through the neglect of some of the Proprietors, and others, to settle
accounts rendered and in order to enable the corporation to furnish
labor and materials at the minmum rates to thos who do pay promptly
they recommend the adoption and enforcement of the following VOTES:
That all bills for labor and materuials, fees, etc., are considered
due on presentation and that no orders rbe executed for Proprietors
whose accounts remain unpaid fover one year, nor for undertakers,
marble, stone or iron workers or others whose accounts remain unpaid
over thirty days.
