The Committee on Finance having presented a Report of investments
made on account of the Repair Fund since the date of
the last meeting, it was Voted, that the same be accepted and
placed on file
Huickley Land Sale
The Committee on Finance reported the sale for $60000 of the "Huickley"
Land on Beacon St. Newton Held jointly with Mr Harry S. Shaw
Issuance authority to made deed.
and it was Voted: That the Treasurer, with the written approval of the
President and one of the members of the Committee on Finance, be and
he hereby is authorized and empowered in the name and on behalf
of the corporation, in Trust for its Repair Fund, to seal with the
corporate seal, execute, acknowledge and deliver a quitclaim deed
of the interest of the corporation in a certain parcel of land in Newton,
Middlesex County, containing 411.260 square feet, on the northerly side of
Beacon Street, adjoining land of the City of Boston occupied for the Chestnut
Hill Reservoir, owned in [?] with Harry S. Shaw. Being the
same premises mortgaged by Sylvester B. Huickley by two deeds, each
dated , the due given to the Proprietors of the Cemetery
of Mount Auburn, in trust for its Repair Fund, the other given to
said Henry S. Shaw, both recorded with Middlesex South Disctrict
Deeds, in Book 2409. Pages 268 and 271 respectively. and
