Will you be so kind
as to write to the address of Chas. G. Nazro,
Esq. of our Board of Trustees at 18 Kilby
St
., informing him what your Corporation
under the regulation of the City of R. is,
at present, paying for the services of Super-
intendent, and whether any and what
increase of his salary has been made
on account of the inflated prices of living,
and oblige

I'm thinking that these letters re salary could be because of the price inflation during the Civil War. Interesting side note.
