Mrs E.T. Green

Dear Madam,

I have, two
or three hours since, recd a note
from Mrs Hallet, at Cabot, Vt.
the result of which is that she
is determined to have transferred
from lot 2603 both child and
husband, if the law will allow.
She appeals to the Trustees, and
will have nothing to do with lot 2603,
further than to have the remains
of the child and of Mr Hallet
removed therefrom, if she can
compel or procure it.

I shall not probably reply
to her for the present. I under--
stand you are just leaving
for home, and would
send her note to you to read,
but think, upon the whole, you
would feel as well not to see
it.

I presume nothing will be done
at present. -- If you should,
upon reviewing the matter, think it
the best way to get rid of a
troublesome subject, you can
communicate further with me.

Truly yours

A. J. Coolidge

The matter is getting more testy. The widow, Mrs Hallet wants to move her husband and child, but the owner of the lot refuses (see previous letter).
