Walter Bender Esq
Baltimore Md.

Dear Sir,

The accompanying
paper came back to us from your sister
in New York signed only by her husband.
There should if possible, be the signatures of
a majority of the heirs. Please add your
signature, and, if you know where
your sister in Washington ^Mrs. McDermott is, get hers
also, and return the petition to me.

It is several years since I began
to look for the heirs of Jacob Bender,
and I trust they are at last to stand
upon our files, and be known here
as the parties in interest. Mr Mears
has kindly lent me assistance. As we are
about to send a new catalogue to press,
your immediate attention will much
oblige us.

Respectfully yours

A.J. Coolidge, Secretary

Henry Homer Esq

Dear Sir,

I am directed
by the Committee on Lots to inform
you that the Corporation will
contract for the perpetual repair
of your lot, ^no. 1669) (you first having
a brick drain put in to carry off
the superfluous water to rear of next
tier of lots) for the sum
of four hundred dollars.

When notified by you of
your acceptance of the terms
proposed, I will prepare
the necessary papers.

Yours very Resp.y

A.J. Coolidge
