Dear Sir: -

I have just
recd a note from Capt. Winsor,
our Supt of which the following is
a copy: -

"Austin J. Coolidge Esqr

Dear Sir,

It will cost
to regrade, manure and resod Abra-
ham Hilliard's
lot No. 2000; and
paint the fence $4700: what in
another Die to the monument $22500
in all $27200

There is a kind of harp & flowers
cut upon the front of the Die. He"
(the marble man I suppose) "will make
an exact copy, take down the old
and reset the new as above.

There are heavy banks to resod
and it in take as many
sods outside as inside, manure
&c. The figures for Perpetual
care are very low.

You will remember that the
report upon the lot which I showed
you contained the endorsement of
the Comee on Lots, aggreeing to
guarantee the perpetual repair
of said lot, when it shall
have been put in condition as
above described for four
hundred dollars. ($400.)

The total cost then of^present repairs,
and of keeping forever in repair,
will be six hundred & seventy two
($672. -)
