Capt. S. Benton Thompson

Dear Sir,

I have long intended to send
you the enclosed statement of amt due from
you for land added to your lot no. 2026 in the
Cemetery - the same being $62.50 for 125 ft of land.

The Supt not fully understanding who the parties
were at the time made out two certificates for Dr
Peter Renton
, one on your lot & one on the westerly
lot of the range. Hence the alteration in the one sent
you. Dr Renton long ago paid for his land
the same price, and his burial in it.

The reason why you have not received
this has been partly because it was mislaid.
It was arranged on the interview which you
and I had that this addition you would pay for.

I will thank you to remit $64.50 to the Treas-
urer with the certif. sent, & I will see that you
have a deed of the addition. I am about issuing
from press a new catalogue, & I wish to have this
matter included among the corrected matters.

You will see that we have charged only the
old price of land. The land on both sides of you is worth
more than double that - but I do not propose to make you
pay for the accidental delay, if paid now.

Yours truly

A.J. Coolidge
