Messrs F. Smith & Son,

Gentlemen,

It is probable
we shall admit advertisements
of marble men, granite men
& undertakers to a limited
extent to the cover of the
catalogue. As there are but
the two inside pages, the
number who can avail them-
selves of the opportunity will
be small.

We have printed 4500 copies
and one will be sent to every
proprietor who can be found.

They are all sure of cir-
culation -- the greater part
of them within a month, and
among the best of the com-
munity. As the book
will be the constant ref-
erence for years to come,
to the people patronizing your
business, this medium of
advertising (if you care to
advertize at all) is superior
to any you can select.

If you wish a page or
any part of one, see me
tomorrow at this ofice,
as I shall not keep the
space open beyond then.

The price will be neces-
sarily high, but will un-
doubtedly well repay the
advertiser.

Respy yours

A. J. Coolidge

Is this the first time Coolidge has reached out to businesses to advertise in the Cemetery's catalogue?
