Hon. Geo. T. Curtis.

Dear Sir:

Your name stands with the names
of forty or fifty subscribers to the Story statue at Mount
Auburn, by far the greater number of whom are
deceased. As several years elapsed before the com-
pletion of the statue, the original subscriptions which
amounted to $3680, from the accumulations of interest
increased to $6518.97 out of which the cost of the Statue
$5528 left a balance of $990.97. As this has stood
some time on the books of the Corporation the Trustees of
the Cemetery desire the instruction or cooperation of
the subscribers to its disposition.

I enclose you a paper which has been drawn
up after mutual consultation between some of
the parties interested, already signed by several. If
it meets your approbation, will you be so kind
as to affix your name, and return the
paper to me within a day or two.

You represent the Judge Story Lot still.

Very Respectfully yours

Austin J. Coolidge Sec.y
