Dear Sir,

The 29th by-law requires you
annually before the 1st Monday in April to report
to the Trustees a list of all lots out of repair, &c. --
The first and last report of such lots was made
in the spring of 1865, and embraced a few more than
a hundred lots. In connection with this subject,
it was found that many of the lots are still
without stone or iron bounds: and these you proposed,
a year or two since to report upon -- but I think
the snow frustrated your work. Late in Autumn or
early in Spring is the only practicable time for this. --
I suggest that you endeavor this time to put
on Fred or some one that you are satisfied can
do this work accurately. I don't know who you have
besides Fred. that can. You now have a good plan
to work by. I would examine all lots by the plan
^& catalogue following the avenues & path in course, making a x on
the lot or plan, & writing against the number in the catal-
ogue a letter for what is wanted as N.S. for
new sodding, P. for painting fence and B. for stone
bounds, or whatever initials you may think best,
making of course more extended notes where
needed.
