Mr Coolidge regrets to have to write
Mrs Belknap again on what seems
to him so plain a case. Mrs
B. still ignores the fact that the
bill presented her is not for the same
year as the one which she claims
she paid , & which
it is allowed she paid on that date.
That was $17.00 for the year 1865, as
her receipt shows.

The bill sent by the present Treas-
urer is for the year 1864, amounting
to $7. This was ordered by Mrs
Codman, & the books do not show,
& Mrs Belknap does not show that
it has ever been paid.

It is hoped that said bill will
be paid without further trouble.

To Mrs J. Belknap

Wm Cains Esq

Dear Sir,

A bill for care
of lot in 1867 of $10. is still due.
Mrs Cains thought bill was paid, but
would look for receipt. I have since
sent bill for 1868 --

Allow me to press once more
upon your attention the fact that
the old accts. must be settled, either
by payment or evidence of previous
payment. We have searched our
books, & they do not show a payment.

Mrs Cains also requested me
to prepare deed for you to execute,
which has been waiting for you these
two months.

Respy yours

A.J. Coolidge
