Geo. C. Blake Esq.

Dear Sir,

Mr A. Parker states
that the bill of $232.50 lately
sent you belongs to him to pay, &
he will meet it next week.

I sent it to you as it came
in from the Supt who perhaps
did not know the arrange-
ment between you & Mr Parker --
if he did, it was overlooked.

I write at Mr P.'s request
to say that we are willing
to lift the obligation from you
to his shoulders.

Yours truly

A.J. Coolidge
Treasr

Edward Crane Esq

Dear Sir,

Our Corporation holds

against you an execution for 539.14
debt, and for costs 23.28
Amounting to $582.42.
and the officer informs me that you
have taken no notice of his demand
upon you for payment thereof. --

I shall regret the necessity of instructing
the Sheriff to arrest you, but unless you
respond to the demand without delay,
shall certainly do so.

I do not write this to ascertain
what may be secured by threat,
but that you may not hereafter
complain that sufficient courtesy
was not shown you in giving proper notice.

Respectfully yours

A.J. Coolidge Treasr
