Mount Auburn Cemetery,
Superintendent's Office
(P.O.) Mt. Auburn

Jonathan Mann Esq.

Dear Sir,

In reply to your letter
of 21st inst, asking on what terms the
Corpn will undertake to build a tomb
for Mr. J. C. Bucknam, on his lots 4215 & 16
Hazel Dell, (the stone &c for which are now
on the ground,) I would reply, that we
will be prepared to build the tomb by the
day; charging $3.00 per day each, for each
man of the mason's gang of 4 men, or for the
derrick; and $2.50 per day each for each man
of the grading gang; We would use our best
masons, or as good as we have, but could
only give one half of John M. Day's time;
and if necessary to hire bricklayers from
outside, would charge you 10 per cent ad-
vance on their cost to us.

We would furnish brick, lime and
cement at the following profit on their cost

to us - Brick 15 per ct.
Cement 10 [per ct]
Lime 10 [per ct]
