Dear Sir,

The last edition of the
"Guides" was published by Russell &
Richardson
of Boston, in 1867, being
made up from several old guides &
with some additions.

These guides were furnished to
the gate keeper @ 20¢ each by Russell
& Richardson
& were [?] by him
at 30¢. A boy was employed to sell
them at times, receiving 5¢ per copy.

Whatever was made over the 20¢
was profit to the gate keeper.

The sales the last year were about
500 copies, a smaller number than
in previous years. Guide is now out of print
I understand. Yours truly James W. Lovering, Supt
HB Mackintosh Esq. Treaur.
