N.G. Carnes Esq

Dear Sir

The two lots referred to, in your
letter of are lots no. 37 & 290.

They are somewhat out of repair; the sod
wants renewing & enriching and the fences &
sarcophagus needs painting which will cost
for the two lots $100.

If you give me an order to do so, I can have
your lots kept in order for you, expending such
a sum as you may see fit to lay out, & there
will be no charge for looking after the lot except for
the cost of repairs.

The corporation are prepared to contract with the
proprietors of lots to keep them in perpetual repair,
by the proprietors depositing a sum of money, the
interest of which is estimated sufficient to cover
the average annual expenses. I think 8 or $900 would
be required by our trustees for the perpetual care
of your lots.

Respectfuly
J.W. Lovering Supt
