given at this office by Joanna B.

and is dated May 28.

We were instructed at the time to
send the bill to you for collec-

Dear Sir

I find by referring to
our books that your lot was sodded
spring of 1871, and it seems
to me as if my predecessor ought
have made any slight repairs
needed by the sod; still I feel
ready to do what is fair & will by &
improve the condition somewhat.

I find we have an order to top dress
at $4 from you, and the repairs &
top dressing will I hope make a
good sod.

Yours truly
J.W. Lovering
