Dr Sir
As soon as you can make time I
wish you to take an account of all tools which
can be found belonging to the Cemetery, and you
are authorized to have all not in less taken to the
tool shop.
Charge to each man the tools you leave in his possession
making him understand that he will be held responsible
for their return to you, whole or broken. I think you better
provide yourself with the numbers & brands to number each
tool.
In issuing new tools charge to the individual, except
that should Mr Collins, or Mr Barker find it necessary
at any time to send for a number of tools, issue them
& charge to them, until returned.
This rule to apply to tools furnished the Greenhouse, [Mr Foster?]
the gate, barn &c. and to be carried into effect at once.
Yours truly
J.W. Lovering
