C. McArthur Esq
Foreman

Dear Sir

I desire to call your attention to the following
points which I wish you would see are observed by all
men under your charge.

1. There is to be no smoking in the Cemetery or Buildings.

2. No man must leave or enter the Cemetery except by the gates.

3. You will allow no man to leave a substitute, when about, nor
allow him for any time not actually here, without my written consent.

4. Men must close & fasten the gates of all lots where they have
been at work, and must not leave their tools, clothes, or dinner pails
about the grounds, nor must they take their dinners on the lots or on the
ornamental grounds, especially about the gate.

5. No tools, carts, harnesses, horses, derricks are to be loaned under
any circumstances nor to be taken from the grounds except
for Cemetery work. You will consider I consider yourself as having charge
of all derricks, carts & horses except the white horse & wagon.

Yours truly
J.W. Lovering Supt.
