I.M. Spelman Esq
Prest.

Dear Sir

I send you a plan for the construction
of 56 catacombs, sizes shown on plan, to take the place of
the section now there.

The catacombs are to be built of hard brick and slate, with
slate divisions in front and marble doors. The arch and end
wall to be lined with face brick, and the arch to be
well covered with asphalt. The floor to be tiled with slate
and marble tiles laid on a suitable foundation. The cost of
this would be $4350, which includes no grading about the tomb, but
any necessary excavation for foundations to, and provides for new
material entire.

There will be stock of sufficient value in the present section to
pay for its renewal & perhaps something more.

To take off the present granite tiles and relay them after asphalting the
arch, and relaying 2 courses of the brick work if necessary will cost $550.
To tile the vestibule, including a thorough foundation. 460
$1010.
Respectfully
J.W. Lovering
