Messrs J.L. Sands & Son

Dear Sirs

I thought that the quality
of brick wanted by me was fully understood
in our converstion a few days ago. It would ap-
pear however from there you had delivered that
it is not the case, and I wish to say now in the
outset that I want you to leave one good hard
brick or to consider the order as void.

If you find you have taken the job too low,
you are at liberty to throw it up, but if you
continue to furnish I shall expect to have what
I ask for.

I have directed that no receipts for brick be
given to your teamsters until I have had an
opportunity to examine for myself. I shall direct out
men to buy none which are poor.

Yours truly
J.W. Lovering
Supt.
