Mrs. F. T. Bush

Dear Madam

The fence needs
a little repairing which when done
will allow the gate to shut
properly.

I can do the work for about
$1.25.

Very Respectfully

Mr. Jesse Holbrook

Dear Sir

Your favor of May
26th is received. I have caused
the stonework to lot 2583 to be examined
by practical stone workers who are
unanimous in deciding that no oil
has been put on the stone and that
the appearance is due, to what is
known in the trade, as, sap which is
oxide of iron in the stone. Clearly
we are in no way accountable for
that. While you are at perfect liberty
to employ whomsoever you choose, still
I trust you will reconsider your
decision and still employ the
corporation to do such work as you
have done. I shall be pleased to
receive and execute your orders.

Very Respectfully
J.W. Lovering Supt.
