Messrs Bowker & Torrey & Co.

Gentlemen

I find that the slate front for
our Receiving Tomb has progressed as far now that
it cannot be fitted to a templet, although all the
uprights are cut by a gauge.

I should be glad to have your estimate for
furnishing the 128 catacomb tomb of italian
marble best quality, highly polished & wells finished
in all aspects 7/8" thick; in each door four holes to
be drilled for the two handles, and also two [dowels?] to
be put in top of each door, leaded in, to fit the
holes drilled in the slate; all necessary fitting to
make a good piece of work included. Also a belt
course plain, of Italian Marble, highly polished @ face
& bottom edge, to make 92'-8* in length, 6" high and
5" thick, the whole delivered here.

Yours truly
J.W. Lovering
Supt.
